The government shouldn’t be jailing people and threatening them with years in prison for posting videos online that encourage kindness, but that’s exactly what has happened in San Francisco. Survivors SF activist Anastasia Rogers is being prosecuted for a video that juxtaposes helpful and harmful methods of engaging with clients outside Planned Parenthood abortion centers.
Using the template of a popular meme, she describes being kind to women through pro-life outreach and casts the method of Planned Parenthood escorts as harmful to women and their children. Whatever your view is on that message, it’s ridiculous for the government to say that the video was created with the intent to intimidate people, which is an element of the California FACE Act. We’ll be attending the trial all week from May 18th to the 21st. Come support Ana through a challenging time and show your opposition to government censorship!
